Find the wind
Work out the actual wind from your heading, airspeed, track and ground speed.
When to use it
In flight, compare the heading you are holding with the track your GPS shows, and your true airspeed with your ground speed. The difference is the wind. It is a quick check on the forecast and helps you replan fuel.
