About PPF
The Public Provident Fund runs for 15 years and can be extended in blocks of 5 years. Deposits qualify for the 80C deduction in the old tax regime, and the interest and maturity amount are tax-free. The government sets the rate every quarter; it has been 7.1% since April 2020.
