FC-1 flight computer
A handheld-style electronic flight computer: wind, fuel, altitudes, airspeed, climb and descent, weight and balance, conversions and timers.
An electronic flight computer in your browser
The FC-1 puts the sums you do on a wind-face E6B or an electronic flight computer into one keypad: wind triangles, crosswind, time, speed and distance, fuel, pressure and density altitude, true airspeed, descent planning, turns, weight and balance, unit conversions and timers. It remembers the last function you used and your numbers.
How the answers are worked out
Altitudes and airspeeds use the International Standard Atmosphere. True airspeed accounts for compressibility. Fuel weights use 0.72 kg/L (6.0 lb/US gal) for Avgas and 0.80 kg/L (6.7 lb/US gal) for Jet A-1. Rate of turn uses the standard formula rate = 1,091 × tan(bank) ÷ TAS.
Before you fly
Use it for planning, study and checking your sums. Your aircraft’s POH or AFM and official weather and charts always come first.
