BMI calculator
Check your body mass index and the healthy weight range for your height.
What BMI is
Body mass index is your weight in kilograms divided by your height in metres squared. It is a quick screening number, not a diagnosis.
Why the India setting is different
Research in South Asian populations shows higher risk of diabetes and heart disease at lower BMIs, so many Indian guidelines use 23 and 25 as the overweight and obese thresholds instead of 25 and 30.
